Lee National Denim Day
One Day. One Cause. One Cure.
It all started when several Lee Jeans employees realized that each of them, in one form or another, had been touched by breast cancer. An everyday conversation sparked an idea and led to the creation of Lee National Denim Day, which has become one of the largest single-day fundraisers nationwide for breast cancer.
Each year, the first Friday in October is designated Lee National Denim Day - a day when supporters nationwide come together to put on their jeans in exchange for a $5 contribution to the fight against breast cancer with the goal of raising millions of dollars in a single day. Since 1996, more than $75 million has been raised to fight breast cancer as a result of Denim Day.
Fox Chase Bank is proud to support this very worthy cause. Many of our employees or their family members have been touched by breast cancer. On this day, employees discard their typical unexciting bank attire and don their jeans and fun pink apparel in support of Lee National Denim Day.
By putting on our jeans and donating $5 on Denim Day, we not only communicate hope for a day without breast cancer, but we also move forward some of the most important research and advocacy work being done today.
