Mission
The mission of the Fox Chase Bank Charitable Foundation is to foster growth of the business environment in the communities
we serve and improve the quality of life for those who live in them. We seek to fulfill our mission by financially
supporting non-profit organizations and programs in the communities we
serve that:
- Encourage business entrepreneurship and economic development
- Support artistic and cultural initiatives that enrich our communities
- Provide vital human services, access to safe and affordable housing or economic stimulus.
Guidelines:
The Fox Chase Bank Charitable Foundation will consider grant requests by organizations meeting the following criteria:
- Organizations and programs that benefit the seven county area we serve (PA Counties: Philadelphia, Montgomery, Bucks, Delaware, Chester. NJ Counties: Atlantic, Cape May)
- Hold tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code
- Support business development, arts or cultural enrichment initiatives, educational programs or community development
- Have clearly defined objectives
- Maintain an active board of directors
- Submit a completed grant application requesting a minimum of $1,000 and a maximum of $20,000 annually
All requests for funding must be in writing and include:
- A completed application including financial and other documents listed on the application checklist
- Submission cover letter
Funding will not be considered for:
- Organizations and programs outside the seven county area we serve (PA Counties: Philadelphia, Montgomery, Bucks, Delaware, Chester. NJ Counties: Atlantic, Cape May
- Individuals
- Religious programs of churches or other parochial organizations
- Political, labor, or fraternal organizations or civic clubs; this includes advocacy, government agency, political entities or candidates, and lobbying organizations
- Private foundations that are grant-making bodies
- Municipalities with tax authority
- General operating expense, administrative salaries or advertising costs
- Beauty/talent contests or athletic scholarships
- Requests for less than $1,000 or greater than $20,000 annually
Funding Periods
The Foundation's annual funding period is January 1st through December 31st and funds are distributed quarterly. Applications must be received by the 15th of the second month of the quarter to be considered for funding that quarter. Example: First quarter applications must be postmarked by February 15th and requesting organizations will be notified in writing by March 30th.
